Getting Involved

Sui Generis does not necessarily conform to any procedures, regulations or norms. Nor does it seek or promote originality or nonconformity for its own sake. Perhaps the primary benefit in getting involved with Sui Generis is the recognition within oneself of the importance to be true to oneself and expressing this to the world. Sui Generis believes that it is not necessary to do this alone and that originality and diversity is not undermined by cultivating it with the support of others. Involvement with Sui Generis is an acknowledgment of the value of originality and diversity, and being part of a community of people who also see its value and receiving support from them. This brings up the benefit of networking, i.e. relating to and communicating with others who value and support individuality and creativity, who care for the world we live in, and who endorse the principles and dynamics of Polarity Dynamics.

Sui Generis introduces and represents the beginning of an exciting new way of seeing and dealing with the world using the lens of Polarity Dynamics. Polarity Dynamics promises to open new avenues of cooperation with ourselves and each other, and to offer higher levels of understanding, freedom and creativity. Getting involved with Sui Generis offers an opportunity to understand the principles and dynamics behind Polarity Dynamics and an encouragement to live these out. It also offers the opportunity to get involved with and to support this endeavor in your own way.

If you feel you can't fully be yourself in our society, if you feel you need help in reaching out to others while remaining true to yourself, if you would like to support the efforts to promote Polarity Dynamics, consider getting involved with Sui Generis. Our efforts are to support the difficult task of balancing two universal complementary needs: 1) to be ourselves, and 2) to be present to and for others.

Sui Generis seeks to help establish or formulate a community based on these principles which can provide a model for society at large. It is presently seeking interested individuals who will take part in this exciting experiment that promises to provide a beacon of light to the rest of the world. The establishment of such a community will not be easy. It is something very new and there will likely be many factors that need still to be learned and applied. But the theoretical foundation -- Polarity Dynamics -- has already been laid, and it is solid.

Sui Generis also seeks to promote its approach to society at large. Possible activities may include the development and offering of different programs based on, for example, individuality and uniqueness, Polarity Dynamics, self-regulating systems, unity & diversity, and also projects initiated by members, newsletters, journals, and conferences.
